The Moeraki Boulders are unique to New Zealand, some of which took over 4 million years to grow, eventually ending up on the beach. In the 1800’s they were much more numerous and they’ve deteriorated over time due to coastal erosion. Each one is very large, with this one in particular being about 4 feet tall.
