Shannon Morse hosts and admins a youtube channel, discord server, social platforms, patreon accounts, and meetups. At these events and in these communities, we want a positive experience for all attendees and members. We value our friends and family in the community, and want you to have an awesome time at our events and within these communities.
TL:DR
Put simply, we expect that all staff, volunteers, and attendees follow our code of conduct (detailed below). Respect personal space, be nice, and have fun!
The Longer Version
Shannon Morse is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event and social platform experience for everyone, regardless of gender, orientation, race, political affiliation, or religion.
Harassment includes offensive verbal or text-based comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, repeated disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Harassment of anyone in any form is simply not ok. If asked to stop, please comply. Otherwise, we reserve the right to remove offenders without refund from events, or permanently ban offenders from social channels (ex. banning from youtube comment section, ban / mute on discord, or removal from meetups).
Respect our home on the internet. This is a professional environment, so please act accordingly.
As the Hacker’s Manifesto quotes: “We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias…” and we support those words to our full ability.
Thank you for supporting small business and for joining us at events!
